Concern:
This is a Macedonian Call for all of those who wish to help
and impact families that need assistance and help during these troublesome times
after Hurricane Katrina. We have constructed and/or implemented a simple yet
powerful program to meet the needs of all injured families of this devastating
hurricane. We realize that this cannot be the efforts of one, but of many
interested and energized families and individuals who have a genuine concern and
burning desire to bring as many as possible back to some normal routine of
life.
Please note that this program has no middleman or third party handling any funds or goods or services that are being requested. There will be a five to one ratio of helping families to those families that need help. All parties will have each others phone numbers and periodic calls by the central committee here will make follow-up calls to make sure that all request and all concerns are answered and addressed in a timely fashion. If organizations are involved they will interact with us directly utilizing our “Defined Needs Listing” to meet the surviving family’s needs. An intake form will be developed on our end along with a database that will connect each team that is working to better an affected family. This will ensure transparency and honesty on the program’s behalf. James D. In summary, we are going to do something that has not been done before and that is direct ministering through a combined effort nationwide. This has no government ties nor is this in lieu of any government assistance prior to or because of Hurricane Katrina. We do not care what station, color, creed or religion on practices, we are meeting the needs of our fellow human beings who are hurting and can’t seem to get any help from traditional methods. WE know that the strong must bear the infirmities of the weak so this is natural outpouring of concern and care that have no gimmicks or gotchas…. just people helping people.
